Job Summary

ACI Mechanical is seeking to hire a Senior Project Manager whose duties include, but are not limited to, the total and complete management of all aspects of assigned projects, along with additional responsibilities as requested by the job supervisor.

Duties

  • Serve as the bid captain for projects you may manage
  • Provide input during estimate review
  • Review projects for constructability concerns and prefabrication opportunities
  • Lead the bid review process and gather input from team members to ensure accuracy
  • Lead job planning processes in both the office and the field
  • Prepare required project forms and contract documents
  • Participate in preconstruction, scheduling, purchasing, and post-job review meetings
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases of projects
  • Prepare estimates for change orders
  • Prepare and review contracts, subcontracts, shop drawings, and submittals
  • Prepare construction schedules, schedules of values, and related documentation
  • Prepare operating manuals, warranty information, lien waivers, sales tax forms, and progress billings
  • Prepare and submit monthly pay applications
  • Pursue collection of billings and reduce retainage when possible
  • Select subcontractors, issue subcontracts, and request required documentation
  • Review and approve material and subcontractor invoices
  • Support labor management, material purchasing and delivery, and punch list completion
  • Serve as Quality Control Manager on assigned projects
  • Implement and enforce project Safety Plans as required
  • Delegate responsibilities to Assistant Project Managers when appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in project management, construction, or related field, or 8–10 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Driving record meets company requirements
  • Successful passing of pre-employment drug screening required

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Primarily works in an office environment with periodic jobsite visits. When on jobsites, employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noises within OSHA standards. Outdoor exposure may include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. Employees may be expected to carry up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, stand for long periods, walk moderate-to-long distances on varying surfaces, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue.
