Just starting in the construction industry? ACI Mechanical believes in apprenticeship training as part of a Careers Mechanical Contractor
ACI Mechanical utilizes ABC of Iowa and the NCCER curriculum for all licensed apprenticeship training.
ABC of Iowa trains over 1300 apprentices each year! And while that may seem like many students, with over 50 instructors, the class sizes are kept at an optimal length. ACI Mechanical trains in the following apprenticeship classes:
The ABC apprenticeship program consists of 608 classroom & lab instruction hours. These are divided into four levels of schooling for four years. Classes meet one night per week from September until April. Also required are 8000 OJT (On Job Training) hours. These hours are satisfied through everyday work activities while being paid as an apprentice. Work a 40-hour week, and attend class 1 night per week! After four years, you’ll have met the requirements by the state to sit for a Journey level test!
ACI also uses the ABC of Iowa welding instruction program to ensure our welders are current with certifications.
