ACI Mechanical is supporting the Phase II expansion of Iowa State University’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, delivering mechanical systems for a high-containment laboratory environment. Scope includes installation of advanced HVAC systems with redundancy, specialized exhaust and filtration systems, and integration of laboratory-grade ventilation to meet strict biosafety and biocontainment requirements. Work involves coordination with existing Phase I infrastructure, routing of ductwork and process piping, and installation of systems supporting molecular diagnostics, virology, and analytical labs. The project is being executed in an active research campus environment with a focus on reliability, environmental control, and long-term operational performance.
